Hocus Pocus Candy delights kids

Oxnard—The Oxnard Eagles were doing well in this community, as the Lodge welcomed the Hocus Pocus Candy Shop, which was full of sweets, treats, special creations, with a touch of slime for good measure.

SHOPPERS loaded up on great stuff, bought some fun items, and got hot dogs to fill their stomachs.

The Eagles continue their mission of helping the community, regularly hosting breakfasts and fundraisers that benefit local charities.

The Fraternal Order of the Eagles has more than 650,000 members at over 1,300 locations across the United States and Canada. “You’ll always have a place to call home.”

Laura Keefer from Doggie Momma 3 said the name came from rescuing three dogs.

“I have retired greeting cards from Hallmark, and I have retired postage stamps the Post Office can’t fill anymore,” she said. “They’re retired designs, but they’re forever stamps.”

 

She said people collect them because of the design.

“This will be my fourth Christmas doing greeting cards,” she said. “I purchased the stamps for myself, had them lying around, and decided to see if there was a market for them on eBay.”
