Kristy Buxkemper named Camarillo City Clerk

Port Hueneme-- Popular City Clerk Kristy Buxkemper, an icon in the community, has accepted the City Clerk position for the City of Camarillo.

HER first day at her new job is

Monday, March 7.

Kristy decided to make the change so she could work close to home.

“I currently live in Camarillo, as that is where my kids go to school,” she said. “The opportunity to be there for my kids was one of the primary factors in deciding to accept the position. The City Clerk position for the City of Camarillo became available following the retirement of the previous City Clerk in December 2021, and they offered me the position in late January - so it’s only been a very recent decision.”

She said her family supports the move.

“My family, my incredible boyfriend Tony Pennay, and all six of our kids, friends, and co-workers have all been an incredible support system for me in making this difficult decision,” she said. “I am so grateful for all the encouragement I’ve received and am lucky to be surrounded by those who constantly build me up and believe in me.
