Oxnard—Mayor Pro Tem Bryan MacDonald’s mayoral campaign feature continues with his vision for Oxnard, a place where people can live, work, and recreate without going bankrupt.
He said his number one goal if elected Mayor is to keep Oxnard on the same path it has followed for the past five years.
“Sometimes, when you get new members on the panel, they want to make a name for themselves, not necessarily, but they want to do something,” he said. “My overarching goal is being a successful leader of the body. I need to ensure that we continue to work together for the benefit of the City and keep our successful City Manager (Alex Nguyen) here. We have a really good senior leadership team right now, especially with the City Manager, and I want to keep that. We’re on the right path, and the City of Oxnard hasn’t been on the right path for a long time.”
MacDonald said the City is repaving its roads, which should have been done years ago, and the parks are finally turning green again instead of brown and being worn out.
