Little Bit of Everything spans genres

Channel Islands— The Concerts by the Sea continued its party, Saturday, August 2, as A Little Bit of Everything spanned musical genres and delighted the crowd.

THE show had all the attributes of a great summer concert: dancing, dogs, bubbles, inflatable beach balls, food, and lots of hugs.

Leader JT Medlen loves playing at the Harbor.

“This is a blast,” he said. “We play all the bars in town, and they sought us out. We didn’t even apply for this.”

He feels the crowd out before coming up with a set list, and since they’re advertised as Country Rock, they compile their set list accordingly.

“I come from a Rock background, and whatever you want to hear, that’s what I’m going to play,” he said. “I grew up on bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Steely Dan. I like them all.”

Gypsy jumped in and told JT that she loved the band and spent the night dancing with friends and her dog, Ellie.

 

“Gypsies are strong,” she said.

James Steward was ready for the night, with a cooler full of beverages, and as he caught the groove, he joined the dance party.
