Ventura—The City of Ventura’s Main Street Plan story continues with comments from Assembly Member Steve Bennett, who said Ventura is the only City that connects its beach with its downtown corridor.
The agreement, loaded with amendments and timelines, stipulates that restrooms remain open, drawing praise from the crowd.
The Body also approved its RRM Design Group to complete and create a vision plan and a Capital Improvement/ Implementation Plan for the Main Street Moves Area.
“The potential the City of Ventura has is tremendous,” Bennett said. “I encourage you, as the leaders of our City, to carry out the wishes of our citizens, not to think three or five years down the road, but to think 14-20 years down the road.”
“Once you commit”, he said, “you have no idea how much energy, creativity, and passion will come forward.”
