Channel Islands—The Farmers Market was a busy place on Sunday, May 10, Mother’s Day, as everybody was buying something special for their Mom or wife.
ONE of the people at the Market was Mike Malak, who is a candidate running for Judge of the Superior Court, office 15.
Malak, whose motto is “When it’s your rights, it matters who Judges,” is an environmentalist.
“I’ve done corporate, general counsel, personal injury, for over 30 years, and diverse areas such as product liability with Mega Pharmaceutical Companies putting supplements in the market not properly tested,” he said. “I’ve also done contracts, and I’ve done family law for single moms with little kids, who are getting the short end of the stick because the fathers have gone off to other adventures.”
He’s also done pro bono work for people who are drug addicted and have problems most people can’t deal with.

“It’s a way to give back,” Malak said.
“They did a good thing with Prop 36,” he said. “If you have a drug abuse problem and commit a crime, you can go into Court and say, ‘Okay, I want to do something about this. I’ll go into rehab supervised by the…
