Oxnard-- The Finance and Governance Committee, Tuesday, April 26, approved the Master Fee Schedule.
The committee got to see a highlevel view of developing a Master Fee Schedule, the basis for future phases of the project.
Policy Records & Property Manager Beth Ward presented the item on behalf of the Master Fee Schedule Committee and said the Master Fee Committee was established in June 2021 by the city manager’s office, that then selected five mid-manager level members to join the committee.
“The city was given the arduous task of locating and establishing one cohesive document of all city-wide fees and fines,” she said. “In addition, we were asked to assist in developing best practices to maintain updated processes.”
She said it provides transparency for providing the city’s fees for all departments in one document.
“Revenue is an important aspect of a city’s ability to provide and maintain the highest possible level of service to all who live, work, and play in their communities,” she said. “Revenues come in many forms, such as taxes, including property, sales, or use tax, bonds, leasing, as well as rates, fees, fines, and charges.
