Nguyen: Oxnard will not Cooperate with ICE

Oxnard—In his Tuesday, Feb. 4, report to the City Council, City Manager Alex Nguyen said free sandbags are now available for residents through Spring 2025.

“Just because we have rainstorms forecast through Friday, we have them in several locations throughout the City,” he said. “Sandbags are available at Fire Station 7, 3300 Turnout Point Circle, the City’s Corporate Yard, 1060 Pacific Avenue, #3, Fire Station 6, 2003 Peninsula Road, Fire Station 8, 3000, S. Rose Avenue, and Johnson Creek Park, 501 Johnson Road.”

“Johnson Creek Park, we have sand available 24/7, but it’s self-serve,” he said. Call the Parks Division for more information at 805-385-7950 or at oxnard.gov/sandbags.

He said Seniors could have sandbags delivered at no charge or call any Senior Center, Colonia Senior Center, 197 N. Margarita Street, the South Oxnard Senior Center, 200 E. Bard Road, Palm Vista Senior Center, 801 S. C Street, or Wilson Senior Center, 350 N. C Street.

Nguyen also addressed a large number of Public Speakers during the meeting about President Donald Trump’s plan for ICE to cover the Country and arrest illegal aliens.
