Oxnard—The Oxnard Christmas Parade and Tamale Festival rolled through the Streets of Oxnard Saturday, Dec. 7, and enveloped the cheering crowd with Holiday spirit, pride, music, great food, and plenty of vendors offering helpful information and Holiday gifts for under the tree.
THE Parade’s Star, the one and only Santa Claus, waved to the crowd while flanked by his helpers waving to the cheering crowd.
Recreation Specialist Carina Mora helped the Tamale Festival prepare and enlisted 20 volunteers to set up tables and chairs.
“We do some of the traffic control here, and the kids will be involved in the Parade,” she said. “The volunteers gladly participate at every event.”
Mora likes being out celebrating with the community.
“It’s great to see everything come together and celebrate,” she said.
