Oxnard—Music, dancing, shopping, and Salsa that could please your palate or set it on fire made the 2024 Oxnard Salsa Festival, Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, at Plaza Park, a mighty event that scored big.
THE event featured a robust salsa competition, which had La Mancha - Salsa de la Casa receiving the Judge’s Choice, BG’s Cafe-House Red winning best red Salsa, and Vallarta - Salsa Vertde taking best green salsa honors.
The line was long before the park opened, as Salsa fans were ready to make the day memorable.
Dance couples spent the day showing off Salsa moves, as bands Conjunto Oye delivered the beat on Saturday, and Orquesta Son Mayor kept the party going on Sunday.
Vendors lined up at the park early, and shoppers left with fabulous items to remember the day.
Oxnard Downtowners Foundation Board Member Gary Blum said The Downtowners are the host Foundation that puts on the Salsa Festival with its production company partner.
