Port Hueneme--The City Council, Monday, March 20, awarded Lauterbach and Associates Inc. the design development contract for the Bubbling Springs Park Renewal Project.
The $401,250 is for design services to be allocated to the General Fund. Pre-construction expenditure is reimbursable by the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program (SPP) Grant.
The design development includes Pre-Design & Programming, Schematic Design and Concept, Discretionary Permit Processing, Design Development, Construction Documents, Construction Contract Procurement, and Limited Construction Contract Administration.
Contract bidding goes live in July, and the construction contract is preliminarily targeted by the end of September.
Housing and Facilities Maintenance Director Gabby Basua presented the item and said about two years ago; the City went out to bid for architectural and design services, along with the Mar Vista Windows.
“That contract in itself went out for an RFP (Request for Proposals) went out for a broad variety of things for the City,” she said in response to a question by Council Member Steven Gama.
