VENTURA, Calif. – The County of Ventura has named Roger Robinson as the new director for the Ventura County Human Service Agency. Robinson was selected following an extensive recruitment process, which included both internal and external candidates. He steps into the role following the retirement of former director Melissa Livingston this month.
ROBINSON joins the County of Ventura with more than two decades of experience in social services. Most recently, Robinson helped lead Solano County Health and Social Services as the Assistant Director for the agency. Having worked at the municipal level, as well as in the nonprofit sector, Robinson has extensive experience in strategic leadership across essential service areas including behavioral health, public health, child welfare, older and disabled adults, and employment and eligibility services.
