SANTA at the STATION IS HOLLY JOLLY FUN

Oxnard--Santa to the Station marked its triumphant return to an interactive event for the first time since 2019, Monday, December 12, as community partners gathered on C Street to make the evening special.

THE Oxnard Dragg Program gave away its project car to a deserving family; attendees got gift bags with treats filled with sweets and toys from Oxnard Police Department SWAT Team.

Officers took photos with community members, and the big stars of the evening, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, attracted a huge line of fans ready for a photo and to ask for that special gift.

The event was put together by Oxnard Police Department Community Affairs Manager Paul Carganilla, who said it came together quickly.

“We just had our Halloween event five weeks ago,” he said. “A lot of the groups involved in this event were involved with Halloween, as well.”

He noted that Halloween was a drive-thru, and they wanted to have a walk-through Christmas event.
