South Pasadena transit company rocks Channel Island Harbor

Channel Islands—It was an epic party at Channel Islands Harbor, Saturday, August 9, as the South Pasadena Transit Authority had Harbor View Park turned into a classic rock party, playing iconic songs from the band Chicago.

"THE band was formed in 2008 after a chance encounter between Stuart Blatt and Tim Hillman, who shared a passion for the band Chicago, according to the band’s link on their Facebook page. They play a variety of Chicago’s hits, primarily from their first six albums, as well as other classic R&B and dance music.”

The band played classic songs, like Color My World, Saturday in the Park, 25 or 6 to 4, and more, along with ‘80s hits like I Am Alive Again.

The band mixed it up with a huge dance party during the show, which filled the dance area beyond capacity.

Concert regular Leslie Rehak was dancing down the walk, saying, “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.”

 

“I started listening to Chicago in High School,” she said. “I like old school Chicago music. I’m going to dance, of course, why not? Life is too short, baby.”

James Stuard said the Concerts by the Sea are the best.
