Starr Debate Continues

Oxnard—The City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 21, heard Public Speaker Mario Riley, Senior, yield his time to play part one of a video.

The video was part of the Whistleblower Report, which said an Oxnard City Employee regularly drove a City Truck Home during the workday.

“The GPS Tracking data from the vehicle shows the Whistleblower was right, and Oxnard City Manager Alex Nguyen tried to cover it up,” the video said.

The video went on to say that Nguyen had his staff lie to the City Council about it, and attacked Councilman Aaron Starr for noticing he had been lied to, to falsely paint Starr as an information spreader and aid Manuel Herrera’s recall of Starr, who routinely exposes taxpayer funded misspending.

The video went on to say that Nguyen said that “not long ago, elected officials, politicians were held accountable for what they said.”

“We live in an era now, when you are not,” he said.

Herrera said during the presentation that “it’s more ammunition that we can use, when the time comes, to recall Aaron Starr.”
