Ventura-- Shoppers ready to soak up some sun and purchase great gifts flocked to Downtown Ventura Saturday, February 12, and enjoyed the first art market of the year at its new location on California Street next to Lure.
CRAFTERS and artists were out engaging with the public, having a great time, and selling handmade treasures that sent patrons home smiling.
Viro with Uniques by Viro was selling items with her husband Stan and her dog Snowball.
“I’m selling bracelets, magnets, pictures, wind chimes, face masks; you name it, I do it all,” she said.
Snowball is resistant to modeling Viro’s new creations.
“He doesn’t like that, but if he did, I would,” she laughed. “I’m an abstract artist, and I’m very creative, so I decided to do this. I also do beach lamps, and I have my artwork in several stores.”
When creating something, she puts her material in front of her and decides what she’s going to do.
“There are a lot of talented people here,” she said.
Stan supports his wife and her creating art for the world.
