Water Division chemical purchase moves to council

Oxnard-- The Public Works & Transportation Committee, Tuesday, April 12, approved the agreements for the supply and delivery of Chemicals to the Water, Wastewater, and Recycled Water Facilities.

Wastewater Operations Manager Roberto Fuentes presented the item to the committee, and he said the agreement assures the supply and delivery of the chemicals through June 30, 2024.

The agreements include A-8445 with HASA Incorporated in the amount not to exceed $1 million for the supply and delivery of sodium hypochlorite to the wastewater treatment plant, A-8446 with jCI Jones Chemicals Inc not to exceed $100,000 for sodium bisulfite to the wastewater treatment plant and agreement A-8447 with Pencco Inc for up to $2.5 million for ferric chloride to the wastewater treatment plant and Ferrous Chloride for Lift Station 6.

“Agreement A-8448 with Univar Solutions USA, in the amount not to exceed $150,000, is for the supply and delivery of sodium hydroxide to the Oxnard Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Facility, agreement A-8449 with HASA Inc in the amount not to exceed $600,000 is for sodium hypochlorite to Oxnard Water Campus Blending Station 3, and the Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF),” he said.
