Channel Islands Harbor—Wheels & Waves made its excellent return to Channel Islands Harbor, Sun. Jan. 5, as hot rodders and their incredible rides rolled into Channel Islands Museum’s parking lot, which meant loads of fun and plenty of camaraderie.
THE parking lot was loaded with the classics, as the morning featured sunshine, eggs, aromatic bacon, some great lucrative career advice, and some “Rat Fink” Art to round out the morning.
Artist Jeff DeGrandis was drawing a 1960 Mustang Fastback with a Big Daddy Roth and a Rat Fink.
“It will have big tires, wheels, and flames, and all the cool stuff,” he said. “Johhny Martinez introduced me to Fireball (Tim Lawrence), and I met him in person at the last Car Show.”
He loves meeting new people and seeing cool Cars.
“Fireball is a super guy who does great artwork,” he said.
Spencer Siebold is with the Tri-County Mustang Club, and folks lined up to enjoy delicious food.

He’s brought his classic Fire Truck, and he plans to attend the courtside RV show in a couple of weeks.
“I’m going to hang out with all the RV Tent People out there and see what’s new,” he said.
