Oxnard-- The gang at the Wilson Senior Center got a jump on the New Years’ celebration, as the center held its festive “Ring in the New Year” celebration, Thursday, December 30.
The group enjoyed special treats and toasted 2022 with Sparkling Apple Cider. Like always, there was lots of camaraderie and fellowship between the participants.
Wilson Senior Center Director Jessica Serrano said despite the weather, they still planned to celebrate.
“Even though the rain is coming down, we’re still going to bring a little sunshine in here,” she said. “We have a few appetizers coming out, dessert is coming out, and this is a little surprise for our seniors.”
She said despite all the challenges in 2021, the group at Wison Senior Center had plenty of good times.
“We had a lot of good laughs,” she said. “We are laughing and having a good time daily.”
She said the Wilson Senior Center would reclose due to the Omicron Covid-19 variant Monday, January 3, but Seniors can still pick up their lunches.
