Ventura—Christmas may be over, but it’s never too late to drive to Antique Adventures and pick up some classic gifts that will highlight any home.
IN addition to a wide array of classic cars with their wonderful owners outside each Sunday morning, savvy shoppers can pick up classic gifts, often handmade, which puts online shopping to shame.
Mickey Putlansky brought his 1937 Ford Three-Window Coupe with a .383 Chevy engine under the hood.
“It has a three-speed trans with a Ford nine-inch rear end,” he said. “Most car guys are really good people, and Christmas is important. We still believe in God and Santa Claus.”
Mickey wants everyone to be happy this Christmas.
“My car just got a new MSD Carburetor and tune-up for Christmas,” he said. “It’s faster than ever. I drive my car every day, and I plan to do a lot of cruising as long as it’s not raining.”
Jim Estes, an old diesel aircraft mechanic who’s good at repairs and upgrades, brought his 1940 Ford Two-Door sedan to the show and said his giant stuffed Christmas Bear rode along.
