CIP Adjustments move forward

Oxnard--The Public Works & Transportation Committee received and approved updates to Oxnard’s Five-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for 2022 through 2027 Tuesday, April 11.

THE Committee authorized project budget appropriations of $2 Million in the Fiscal 2022-23 from the Capital Growth Fees Fund for the Fire Station 4 Rebuild Project.

Public Works Director Michael Wolfe recommends that the City Council adopts updates to the 2022-2027 City of Oxnard Capital Improvement Program and authorize $2 Million from the Capital Growth Fees Fund for the Fire Station 4 Rebuild Project.

“Back in May, last year’s City Council approved the Five-Year CIP,” Wolfe said. “Actually, it was a two-year CIP for the Fiscal Years 22-23 and 23-24. There are roughly 140 projects inside the CIP, and over that five-year period, there are approximately $700 Million in projects. The CIP also includes projects funded by the American Rescue Plan.”

He said that since the City is in a two-year CIP, they’re recommending mid-cycle adjustments, and the first recommended adjustment is for the Fire Station 4 Project.
