Oxnard—During his Tuesday, July 7, report to the City Council, City Manager Alex Nguyen addressed the public comments made during the meeting and said he’ll review the hearing process, the review process, and the procedures for code and housing.
“I’LL probably have that back to you in early fall,” he said.
Nguyen shared the Council-approved priorities, which include the 2026-2030 City Council Five-Year Priorities. Council Members were updated a couple of months ago, and the updates are available on the City’s website.
The priorities include Quality of Life, Economic Development, Public Safety, Infrastructure and Natural Resources, and Organizational Effectiveness.
“It’s part of the new fiscal year budget book, as well,” he said. “Yellow in the Council’s five-year priorities are what the Council added and updated. Earlier, it was brought up about the Park Ranger, so that would be in yellow.”
He said what’s outlined are the types of Capital Improvement Projects that could be funded through bonding.
“It’s a matter of the economy and the financial markets, so, at some point, going forward, if the finance staff believes there’s a good opportunity to bring it to the Council, we will do so.”
This is the outcome of their priority-setting, and he said it’s on the City’s website…
