Tyler Technologies agreement ok’d

Oxnard—During its Tuesday, September 17 meeting, the City Council approved a service agreement with Tyler Technologies.

THE agreement executes a fifth amendment for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software with the first renewal of the five-year term not exceeding $5.8 million and a new 10-year contract total of $11.5 million.

Assistant Chief Financial Officer and Assistant City Treasurer Mark Sewell presented the agreement and said the Finance and Governance Committee unanimously recommended the contract be renewed on July 23.

“In 2016, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for new RFP software, and in 2019, the City Council awarded a five-year agreement with Tyler Technologies for an ERP, including project management, implementation support, business process engineering, and annual license fees totaling $9.118 million,” he said.

In 2021, Executime (Electronic Employee Time Entry) launched, and he said Core Financials launched in 2022.

“The implementation continued in 2024: Human Capital Management going live, Enterprise and Licensing, which is under development, and Enterprise Asset Management and Utility Planning phases are underway,” he said. “For the first five years of this contract, the City anticipates spending about $5.7 million of the $9.1 million initially contracted on October 31.”
