Channel Islands—A Little Bit of Fog lifted at Channel Islands Maritime Museum on Sunday, February 2, as Wheels & Waves brought a sea of fabulous rides polished and looking good.
ATTENDEES enjoyed plenty of hot coffee, donuts, friendship, and great information from Oxnard College.
The Classics “Flew Like an Eagle” highlighted the Museum Parking Lot from all over.
Joe Magliaigto brought “Trinity” up from Orange County, which is made of brass, copper, aluminum, mainly steel, and ornamental steel.
“It’s a three-seater and kind of western,” he said. “I’m a blacksmith by trade. I do a lot of ornamental ironwork, typically for houses. Trinity is what the inside of my head looks like.”
He built “Mad Hatter, with copper and brass, and it had gull-wing doors.
“It was a lot of fun; I wasn’t planning to sell it,” he said. “A guy made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
He said Trinity took seven years to build.
Fireball is a good friend and really liked the last car I built,” he said.
