Channel Islands—Cool cars, good music, great food, donuts, and plenty of fun made the premiere of Wheels & Waves at Channel Islands Maritime Museum an epic joy.
THE effort is led by Fireball Tim Lawrence, who left the Murphy Auto Museum location in June, spawning a new, symbiotic relationship that benefits everyone.
In addition to all the cars, participants enjoyed a mini tour of the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, which is loaded with great maritime artifacts and treasures.
Lawrence wanted to do another show after Muscles & Mojo ended but needed the right thing to make it happen.
“The first rule of doing any kind of show is finding a location that’s beautiful without cars,” he said. “We wanted to find a location people would come to because it’s a beautiful place to come to, and certainly Channel Islands Harbor, it’s beautiful here.”
He attended the Father’s Day Car Show at the Harbor, talked with representatives from the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, and decided to launch a new show.
