Oxnard-- Okay, it’s time to get back to work, and I hope that everyone had a happy and safe July 4th weekend full of hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, friends, and family.
LET’S all remember that we live in the greatest country on the planet, despite the challenges, and living in a Constitutional Democratic Republic brings everyone together, disagree respectfully, and remember that our country supersedes our disagreements.
With all that said, there are some challenges that I had to encounter over the weekend, starting with the fireworks, which are illegal in the City of Oxnard.
That creates a challenge for my dogs, Daisy and Buddy, as fireworks send them into clingy, panic mode. How can I turn this into a win for my to-do list? When Buddy decided to sit on my lap and be my new best friend because he was scared, I took out the groomer, and I am happy to say that he no longer has way too much fur. It’s pretty warm outside; he must be cooler and more comfortable. When he sees the trimmer, he usually runs away, but I guess his fear of fireworks outweighs his hate of getting groomed.
