Oxnard-- Before I get started, I want to say how happy I am that my Daughter in Law, Jaze got her new kidney Saturday, June 4, and is doing well.
JAZE had end-stage kidney failure and was on dialysis while waiting for a donor.
Her kidney is functioning well, and I can tell you that happiness is hearing my son tell me that he has to return the portable dialysis machine that Jaze has been tethered to for the last year, with seven months on the kidney transplant list.
Words can’t describe the relief I feel for, Colin, the Sarge, who has loved and supported his wife in ways I couldn’t imagine while constantly telling her that they’ll get through this ordeal together. Adding to that struggle is that she is new to the United States, and her permanent resident status was delayed due to Covid-19, which slowed her transplant down.
I played the Dad the whole time while telling him to fight hard and loud until you are heard. When he talked about writing letters, I also told him to get the local paper involved, and if whoever he is writing to is a political candidate, send the…
